Zach Bruhn 

Zach is currently a major with the Oklahoma City Fire Department. He has been on the OKCFD for 15-years and has served as the Field Training Officer for his department’s Recruit Training Academy, Officers Promotional Academies, Apparatus Operators Academies and is a founding member of his department’s Mentor and Promotional Committees. Zach has worked his way up through the ranks while serving as a paramedic firefighter assigned to the department’s heavy rescue station, then as an engineer at some of the city’s busiest stations. Currently Zach is a station officer on the city’s northwest side. Prior to entering into the fire service, he spent time in the U.S.A.F. as Combat Controller assigned to Air Force Special Operations Command. After leaving the military Zach attended the University of Nebraska. Throughout his career Major Bruhn has been able to successfully train and acquire numerous certifications such as Fire Instructor I, Fire Officer I, Swift-Water Technician and Rope Rescue Technician just to name a few. Recently Zach finished up his Bachelors degree in Fire Administration. When off duty Zach serves as the Oklahoma Task Force Leader for The Sons of The Flag, a non-profit agency that assists first responders and veterans with burn related injury treatment. Zach is also the Lead Instructor for the Oklahoma State University OKC Fire Protection Fire Academy.
